Dan is a retired military veteran who served in the Coast Guard and in the Air Force Reserves. Dan was activated and supported Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom. Dan worked as an aircraft maintenance specialist and was responsible for maintaining various aircraft from helicopters to fixed-wing.  Dan retired from the Federal Government with 38 years of service.

Dan volunteers at the Dakin Humane Society weekly to help provide care for the dogs that are surrendered or transported from the south.

Dan is a proud member of the American Legion member at Post 80 in Enfield, CT.

Dan heard about The Friends organization when he was inquiring about ways to memorialize his wife who is interred at the Agawam Veteran cemetery. That’s when he learned about all the good things that the Friends represent and support, from; Wreaths Across America, memorial bricks and benches, fund raising, to helping augment the costs of the cemetery enhancement projects. He felt he needed to do his part to give back and he is very happy to have that opportunity.

Dan is currently serving as Secretary for The Friends.
